Last time, Sept 15, I got upgraded to a room on a high floor (17. I think)
I don't know what room category it was but I was very pleased not to get the default upgrade to executive room that many hotels give as these rooms are much lower down (6. floor I think).
I requested high floor in the comment box.
It was a longish stay - 5-6 nights.
In a hotel like the Leningradskaya, I think that receiving a room on a high floor very much counts as an upgrade.
I am going there in a few days and will report back.
