Atlanta has a lot of really great beer bars. My favorites are Brick Store and Porter, but I'm not an IPA drinker so I can't recommend any specifics to try. Most of the local beer bars have pretty big selections and can accommodate all tastes.

One thing to note about the breweries listed, some are brew pubs like 5 Seasons or Twain's and are open regular hours. But, dedicated breweries like Sweetwater, Monday Night, or Red Hare, Red Brick are going to have very specific opening hours and tasting rules. GA doesn't allow breweries to just open and serve all the time. One of my local favorites is Burnt Hickory, but they are pretty far outside of their cities. You can find their beers all over town though, I see them at Taco Mac and always grab some to try.
