Seems to work for me. (See attached picture. I did DEN-ORD-JFK-LAX for Aug 2, 9, 16 - respectively.)

As a workaround, you can also use Google Flights, then just click the buy button at the bottom of the page, which passes your selected flights over to AA.com for purchase.
