Yes the GIG-JFK would be marketed and operated by AA.
Just spoke to CX in London and they advised that they would only issue a ticket if CX was the first carrier. So I guess it would probably have to be BA to issue then.
Past experience with trying to get QR to issue a ticket has been so painful I do not ever want to go there again!!
