There is no simple answer to this really. I've paid £6k a night for a pool suite on the Côte d'Azur in peak season, to £2k a night for a premier water villa in the Maldives, to £100 a night rooms at an airport Hampton Inn. Just depends on place, time of year and my reason for staying.
