After a three-hour runaround, I got a call about my room being ready. I was initially informed that my room was upgraded from a classic to an executive room on the fourth floor but it wasn't ready, hence the long delay, but eventually they had a room in "the exact same executive category" open up on the second floor and that was assigned to me instead.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to be whiny or anything, but the room doesn't seem executive. Shower stall only in the bathroom and the room itself is decently sized rather than "oversized" as the executive room category implies. Looking at the floor plan on the door in my room also shows that I got one of the smallest rooms on the entire floor... One above the lobby and the second of eight in the hotel.

Not sure this is exactly an "upgrade" but oh well.
