I think anything under one hour for a united connection at any United hub is risky - especially given their boarding / be at the gate requirements - making 30 minutes somewhat ridiculous logistically - especially for a flight to Canada. That being said - if they will sell you the ticket then if you misconnect UA must accommodate you - but they could be - as Kacee points out - a real headache for you...
