I didn't realise that. I got it waived when I explained it was not possible online, otherwise I would have done it via ba.com. In the grand scheme of things, it's not the end of the world. I agree with other re. availability. For ours at Christmas, there was no availability back from ORD. I'd never been to Washington, so I checked out IAD and found F seats, so we decided to tag on a trip there at the end of our stay.
