Have there been any recent experiences from FT'ers redeeming miles for BusinessFirst on PS flights (LAX-EWR) for redeyes departing on Fridays? I know there is a possibility that availability can pop up close in, but I'm curious to see if there has been any consistency.

I'm torn between redeeming for a Y seat that is currently available, but possibly waiting to have a C seat available later. It normally wouldn't be such a big issue, except that it's a redeye flight and that lie-flat makes all the difference in the world at that point.
