We checked out Blueberry for breakfast yesterday morning. It was pretty good... yummy enough that we considered eating there again today!
They bring out a basket of mini blueberry muffins to start... they were pretty good (but I think mine are better) and helped fill us up while we waited (and waited) for our food. Apparently slow is the name of the game here... the menu notes that everything is made from scratch so expect to wait.
They have free coffee out on the sidewalk while you wait for your table... we arrived close to noon so we didn't wait more than about fifteen minutes. Had we wanted a table it would have been longer, but we were willing to sit side-by-side at the counter.
I had the banana pancakes with rum butter (or I think that was what they were calling it). I also had a side of the turkey sage sausage and the blueberry lemonade. The pancakes were excellent... topped with banana and strawberry slices. They were a perfect consistency... not too moist, not too doughy. I also liked the sausage although the sage would have been nicely balanced by other herbs. I thought the blueberry lemonade was a bit sweet, but my boyfriend liked it and had no problem finishing the glass.
He had the blueberry pancakes which came topped with fresh blueberries. He let me have a bite and they were good too. He also had the blueberry iced tea which had just a hint of berry taste to balance out the tea.
The gentleman next to us at the counter had one of their egg dishes and if I go back, I will either try one of those (it smelled incredible) or the Cold Blue Special (which is blueberry pancakes topped with blueberry ice cream and blueberry compote).
They also appeared to have a nice lunch menu.
We planned to lunch there today but when we drove by, the line appeared to be about an hour wait and as boyfriend needed to be dropped at LAX it wouldn't have worked.
