Recent curious events:

I had a conference and wasn't sure which day I was arriving, so I booked one stay starting on Monday then another one starting on Tuesday. Then figured I would just cancel the one I didn't want, and could be assured of getting the 15% ebates cash back because I wouldn't be changing the start date.

Then the hotels booked up so I held onto the reservation I didn't want (Monday) and gave it to a coworker. He changed the start date from Monday to Tuesday, and he is not an IHG club member so did not replace my IHG number in the reservation.

So I got the IHG points from both his and stays (on the same dates), and also the ebates rebate from both stays. Is that expected?
