You best see the EC261 thread via the Dashboard for the details, but the flight is certainly covered by that. Whether you would get any compensation would depend on the precise cause of the irrop. You would get the right of care provisions however. For the first question, in rebooking you BA would look to the final destination on the booking, assuming it is one PNR, so presumably LIM. Hence, yes you may get the MAD service, on indeed the direct BA service to Lima, depending on the day of the week concerned.
