Your info isn't entirely correct. You can be dropped off in parking 1, 2 & 3, which are all situated across the street right in front of the terminal. If the person dropping you off leaves within 15 minutes, they won't have to pay for the parking. In front of those parkings, where the kiss & ride area used to be, the pre-check tents are now located. In general, and depending on what time of day you arrive, this check shouldn't take more than 10 minutes.
There is indeed another parking that requires a shuttle ride to the airport, but that one is located on the other side of the airport, and should only be used if there's a traffic jam to the airport itself. Those traffic jams happen quite often in the morning, caused in part by the police checks on the access road, but they are also a pre-existing problem, because the airport is only accessible by car via this two lane road, which doesn't have the capacity to handle the large number of cars at peak moments.
As for access by train, the queue at the pre-check should also be rather short, again depending on the time of day you arrive (mornings are busy). If you have the option to come by train, I would do it, you arrive in the airport building itselfs and can take an escalator or elevator to the departure level. Easy peasy, just don't forgot to get the right ticket, there's a surcharge for trips to the airport, and if didn't pay for it, the access gates at the station won't let you into the airport.
