What about BA having one Y and W main meal in the middle of a UK-East Coast flight instead of the beginning? Most passengers eat before they get on board so surely a mid flight hot meal service saves BA money and keeps passengers full! Maybe BA can trial that for a month and lead the market a bit.
Because you'd have to get the crew out of the rest areas to deliver it. The quicker they get the meal out the quicker then can retire for a snooze.
