Or a semi-integrated system with a customer-facing PIN pad. They have NCR registers similar to J.C.Penney and I'd assume they're using a common POS software with semi/integrated EMV terminal options. I guess they don't feel it's worth the expense, though.
Speaking of semi-integrated, I believe that's what Aldi are using. I went to the new one by my house that just opened and saw only an Ethernet cable coming out of the MX915...PoE? Swipe-only though for the time being, but the EMV slot is lit.
