Without looking for an argument or being argumentive, based on my own personal experience and I do travel outside the US quite a bit, your emv chipped card, pin or not, will work 99.9% of the time no matter what some say. Cards do fail from time to time everywhere for reasons such as a bank's computer link is down. My experience is it is very rare that a card fails for lack of a pin. (I am sure somebody will rush on telling us where a card may have failed but sometimes it has nothing to do with the lack of a pin. But there have been in the last year or two, very few reports of a pinless card being rejected outright so I wouldn't lose any sleep over it or go out and get a card from either UNFCU or First Teach FCU.
Again just my experience; not looking to argue with anybody.
