Call AA. Your award is an AA-issued ticket. Let AA investigate and explain. It might be something simple like an advance schedule change that didn't get reticketed. Any other segments on that award ticket could be suspect.
This is the best answer; you should put the onus on the ticket "owner", AA.
Iberia doesn't create changes more often than other airlines, but it's always important to keep on top of paid or award bookings. Good luck.
