Hello,
7 months or so ago, I made a reservation over the phone with AA using my AA miles. I booked a flight from Madrid to Lisbon on Iberian Airlines. If memory serves me correct, I picked my seats on the Iberia website. On my AA app it said we had seats 9A and 9B.

Today we arrive at the airport in Madrid and we find out we are actually on stand by and both of their remaining flights to Lisbon today are sold out. No we are just waiting around to find out what happens. I have no clue what to do. Why did this happen?? Is this the norm when using AA miles on partner airlines???

Anyways, we are supposed to fly Iberia later on in the week, from Lisbon to Copenhagen. Is this same BS going to happen? I asked someone who worked for Iberia why this happened and she made it seem like this is how it works with AA miles.

I'm so ticked off right now. I literally have no idea if I;m getting to Lisbon today and Im wondering if I should book new flights to Copenhagen.

Can anyone offer any advice or insight on what to do next? Thank you!
