I tried to find a thread on CX/KA forum but I could not find any, sorry if there are already post for this.
I have a question on Clubpoints earning regarding
oneworld flights after involuntary re-route.
Original: (All AA code - HKG-NRT-ORD-EWR)
Involuntary reroute: HKG-NRT (AA code) NRT-JFK (JL code, fare class unknown to me)
Yesterday I flew AA HKG-NRT-ORD-EWR originally (all on AA code, v fare). Once I arrive Tokyo Narita, they informed me the flight to ORD was cancelled. They straightaway booked me a JL code flight JL4 (fare class unknown on the boarding pass, as I was upgraded to PEY due to overbooking.)
Under thew new system (and old), AA code earn a lot more club points and guarantee almost all 100% miles (except all O fare and transatlantic Q fare). JL only earns 50% miles and 20 club points if it is not a full-fare economy.
Does anyone have smilar experience? I understand it is normally credit with the actual miles flown.
Shall I try and write to MPC (I was targeting to retain DM status with this flight this month, though luck me...

)
Appreciate if anyone can answer this, thank you!
