I have flown AS many times, but never to or from SJC. How is operational reliability? I am also concerned about security lines (I have precheck) at about noon on a summer Sunday.

Small airport, and everything's been on time the dozen or so times I've flown in/out (to/from SEA fwiw).
Security lines can get loooooong but since you have PreCheck it's no issue. PreCheck was about ~10-15 min leaving late afternoon last month. That's pretty slow by many other PreCheck standards, but the standard security lines have often looked like 45+ min waits when I've been there.
