There's a long running thread about this 22.5" - 22.75" expandable "carry-on" bag. On a side-by-side basis, noticeable bigger than eBags' 21.5" MotherLode TLS expandable roller that we use - it is deep without raising the expansion and holds enough for our TPAC travel, where it's checked. Not surprised at all that you got flagged as we only take that with us when flying Jetblue. Have this for a # of years and holding up nicely for light to moderate usage and when we take cruises from home port, it's checked for 7 to 10 nights.

And, it's heavy @ 11.5 lbs. empty - expanded & checked, it does help to keep it under 20 kg or 44 lbs, stuffed full, LOL.
