So I am planning a trip to visit Champagne and Burgundy in the first 10 days of October, 2017. I would love to deploy a chunk of my milage balance, buy a W or V fare SFO-CDG, and use the miles to upgrade.

My question for this esteemed community: when should I start checking United for these coveted fares? Will they be available as soon as the routes for 2017 are put into the system? Will they be released later?

Any advice would be grealy appreciated; I just want to be good and ready to pull the trigger and not miss out!
