Depends on the flight, check in counters are fixed.
Without check in counter number, you don't know where you should check in.
Businss plus check in counter is one area. It might be easier to guess.
Middle size airport like Frankfurt-Hahn is more flex.
at HHN, just go to check in desk anytime, they take your luggage.
Even including the self service machines which print the bag tags, I went through last week and it appears to be a common area for all FR flights (the last bank by the main security entrance)
