However the OP should be aware, if they need the points urgently, your IB account must be 90 days old before you can move the avios out of it to BA.

You could also use an avios.com account if you have a UK address you could employ? (no cost benefit but no account-age limitation). You might also consider transferring points from Amex or SPG, but BA is maybe not the best use of those points.

Is it worth asking what the intended use of the avios is. If it's a Chase241 booking there's probably no alternative (and good value) in buying the avios but otherwise their may be other better value options than paying a premium for a large chunk of avios.
