One number is roughly half the other. Seems like that's likely to be part of the reason. Like it seems to think there are 2 pax on the itinerary or there's just a bug somewhere.

The good news is that it doesn't matter at all.

ETA: I jut pulled one of mine up and it is also showing 2x on the itinerary page. Just another united.com bug.

ETA2: Any chance yours is a multi-city itin that is borked? My o/w is okay but the multi-city is not.
