If you book two one-ways, fly the outbound, then decide you want to change the return, it's a much simpler process, as at the very least, you can always just cancel and rebook.
Changing a booking where you've already flown part of it is a little more difficult.
Not enough of an issue to really worry about, but it can make things slightly easier.

the $309 will have airport fees and government imposed taxes deducted from it before the AQD amount is calculated.
For example, if there's a $5 security fee and a $30 AIF, you'd receive $274 AQD.
