Heck yes, I'm assuming your bags will be checked through to SFO. I also assume you will have your boarding pass for MIA-SFO.
You have plenty of time. If you have not been to Miami before, I would head to South Beach.
During heavy traffic, the travel time will take you 45 minutes from the airport. Plan on heavy traffic for the return, that leaves you with 4 hours at south beach (if you are also leaving 1 1/2 hours for checkin). More than enough time. Cabs are plentiful to catch back to the airport.
