It's just a few key strokes.

Then if you can't OLCI for the return, ring BA immediately, it's possible they didn't do it correctly.
Thank you to each of the posters who have replied. I will make sure I speak to someone at the airport if there appear to be issues to protect the return. Apparently there's some special service like Amazon Prime that runs that night, by some large guy in a silly hat. I might be able to hitchike.

I feel a lot better about my chances of getting home and not trying to gather the wherewithal to make a Turkey dinner in a plane, a la Arthur on BBC comedy Cabin Pressure.
