As a Diamond, I'm not even upgraded to the executive floor in the US or Canada. Access to the executive lounge appears to be the only perk. The last time I had to ask to get "upgraded" to the executive floor at Hilton Toronto. One of the two rooms ended up being next to the elevators -- constant noise. Pathetic.
