I currently have around 18,000 miles with Delta Skymiles. However, I just want to make sure that going forward, if I have to book a flight on a SkyTeam airline, I am putting my miles in the right SkyTeam FFP.
Here are my answers to the questions:
(1) What is most important to you in a FFP?
Miles that don't expire is the most important for me for SkyTeam, since I don't fly ST often enough to get elite status. I would eventually like to be able to redeem the miles for a free flight.
The miles in most ffp's expire. Delta mile do not expire.

Airlines have alliance and non alliance partners.

Awards in most ffp's are a long way from free. All have taxes and some have cash surcharges.
