I'd try complaining to the media, even a local station will due. You'd be surprised how quickly things get resolved when their public image is at risk.

This is why we need a flying common sense test for UMs(and some adults).
As a young FTer (15) I have to deal with this UM crap all the time. It's ridiculous that a person with premier status, who flies 40k+ BIS miles per year (who also has been flying since they were 3 months old) has to pay 300$ RT to have at most 30 minutes of interaction with airline staff.
