We stayed at HIX, there was scaffolding round the building and we couldn't sit out on the balcony. I mentioned this in my review and was awarded 5000 points.

We stayed at Crowne Plaza and the pool was out of action. I mentioned this in my review and was awarded 3000 points.

Both times I said it would have been better to know beforehand, but there was no response to this comment. I guess they don't mention it on the website as they don't want to put guests off staying.
