AA codeshares with AB to EU cities served by BA - does this require BA approval?

I noticed that AA are now codesharing with Air Berlin to a number of destinations in Europe. All except CGN are also served by BA.

Does anyone know if this agreement requires approval from BA (and IB/AY) under the JBA? And are flights sold by AA under these codeshares included in JBA revenue? E.g. where AA sells JFK-DUS-ARN all marketed AA*AB, is this treated in the same way as JFK-LHR/HEL-ARN?
