Beginning March 1, travelers passing through Singapore's Changi International Airport will be assesses a $6 Singapore fee (one U.S. dollar equals about $1.8 Singapore dollars) to help cover security costs. The fee is in addition to a departure tax of $15 Singapore. The charges will be collected when tickets are purchased.
