I really wonder how much of a threat theft of bags really is. How does a thief decide which of all those bags in the overhead bin is worth stealing and not just full of someone's dirty underwear? (I would never put my wallet in a bag in the overhead bin, though.)

Do people who worry about this deliberately stay awake to watch their bags?
