My biggest wow so far was at Amanjiwo.

We had the regular garden view suite and the aircon wasn't functioning as well as it should have been, so was having trouble sleeping at night.

The next night we were doing the overnight hike to the peak of Mt Merapi, so I knew I would have to nap during the day, hence the aircon would be a big issue.

I mentioned this to the front desk and after the maintenance team was unable to fix it they told us could move us to another villa within the hour.

So they upgraded us to the Dalem Jiwo suite for the remainder of our stay (4 of the 7 nights we were there).
