I have only stayed in two LMs in the US (Dallas and Boston)... both seem to go from a high tech design with loads of chrome.

My main experience has been in LM's in Europe.

In Europe LMs seem to be focused on better than average art in public spaces and hallways, better food in restaurants than Sheratons (and most Westins I have stayed at in Europe). Other aspects of LM's in Europe seem quite variable, though typically they are well located within the city.

I had a wonderful stay in the LM Brussels (now a Hilton). To my mind it had a European charm, treated PLTs very well, had a very friendly and helpful staff, and had an excellent location in central Brussels.

Another favorite of mine is the LM Piccadilly. I have always been treated well as a PLT. Location is fantastic. Restaurant is excellent. Rooms are quirky but I have always enjoyed my stays.

It will be interesting to see what Marriot does with the LMs.
