I have an Amex Platinum and use the 200 credit towards the slightly reduced UC membership as a 1K. This way I get the best of both worlds.

Most of the benefits of the club card are already complimentary with premier status. Additionally, with premier status there aren't many incidentals I can charge to my Amex Platinum (yes, I know I am do the gift card thing).
