This is the way to travel. I visited this week to head off on our honeymoon. I am so glad we went with this option.


As pointed out above you drive around to the end of T1 and into Platinum services. After ringing the bell they let us in and met us outside to take our bags.

The main reason for doing this was that I didn't want to get the Hertz bus back to the airport. It takes ages and is a bit frustrating. They said they would ring Hertz for me and they would come pick it up and not to worry about it.

We were then shown to a suite and then offered champagne.

The forum has turned it sideways I'm afarid. I do fancy a Blanc de Blanc but my wife is not so much a fan but we both really enjoyed this bottle while we waited.

This was our suite.


They have 3 of the same size which have moveable walls so if your a football team they could make it one big room.

They have a board room too which the airport also uses day to day. They said it was very popular with flyers coming in for a meeting and then back out asap.


They also gave us a tour of the whole facility. We got to see each suite and even the presidential suite. As he does not need to go through security they have extra doors just for the president. It was great to see what real power is. None of this money power.

They have showers and all the things you would want off a flight.


Our flight was delayed but once they got word it was on the ground they got us ready. They have a dedicated security lane and we were the only ones using the lounge area so we had it all to ourselves in fact more security officers than us!

We were brought landside and brought to a 7 series LB which was waiting for us.


Loads of leg room.


It was a short drive to the gate but they allowed us wait in the car for the plane to be cleaned. Right to the bottom of the stairs!


It was a great start to our holiday. If you can do this then just do it! Staff were great the airport were great we felt like we were superstars.
