What is the Le Meridien brand for?
Sorry to just put this question so bluntly out there, but can anyone tell me how I should think about the Le Meridien brand?
Every one that I've stayed in, in the last 3 years, I feel is some kind of halfway brand between Sheraton and Westin. As in, not quite as comfortable / high end as a Westin, and not as affordable and predictable as a Sheraton. Also, LM seems to have odd quirks about the hotel room configurations, and there is something just a little bit odd about the check-in, check-out process.
Is this a legacy European brand that lingers in the portfolio for some reason?
I think the bottom line / main point in my mind is that based on my experience, I have never felt that I would say, go stay at Le Meridien [xyz], it was a great choice!
