Ah, so the exact text reads:
This product is available to you if you do not have this Card and have not received a new Cardmember bonus for this Card in the past 24 months.
So I was reading the 24 months as applying to receiving a bonus, not having the card. Otherwise, I would expect it to read "if you *have not had* this card and have not received a new Cardmember bonus for this Card in the past 24 months." But perhaps it is just sloppy wording, and really it's 2 years from cancellation. Or maybe this offer is better than their usual ones?
