The Dusit Princess (on Srinakarin Road) might be an option for being close to Lat Krabang, and offering safety/activities for your GF? It's adjacent to Seacon Square (and another mall, Paradise Park is just south of there, you can ride a song tao). If you go north on Srinakarin Road ~ 1 Km, turn right this is Lat Krabang Road, or turns into it after a short distance (maybe when you enter Samut Prakan province?). (On Nut Road/Sukhumvit Soi 77 to the left)

I think it's part of the Dusit Group, and they have a "college" next door, where I assume they train employees, for all their properties.

The Best Western looks nice but it is a bit out of the way.

A lot of the hotels in the burbs here are meant for local business, local entertainment or large bus/tour groups.
