Lifetime Intercontinental RA Status
Isn't it time for IHG to create lifetime RA status?
Marriott/SPG, Hilton, and Hyatt all have lifetime status for their most loyal customers.
10 years RA not necessarily consecutive would seem like a reasonable criterion for Lifetime RA.
Or say a 750 total nights option, or USD100K accumulative spend.
Maybe a hybrid model, or three ways to achieve.
Would be mutually beneficial, a Win Win for IHG, and it's most loyal customers.
Imagine retaining the road warriors that run up many IHG nights on their employer's dime, that go into retirement, and want to spend those leisure years travelling, spending, and enjoying.
Imagine all those aspiring to be with a great elite program, where if they are loyal enough, they'll end up with a free mini bar, lounge access, and generous upgrades, driving business to InterCon for 10 years, to achieve or retain RA.
And once they hit Lifetime, they're entrenched in the brand, and going to stay loyal^
