Sorry for populating my own thread and getting quite geeky but I have now (thanks for the suggestion pauldb) priced the original and amended journey between Singapore and Honolulu on matrix. The original taxes and charges were A$259.80 and the the revised taxes and charges were less at A$177.80!

I am beginning to feel aggrieved.
