It sounds like you don't have any affinity to a particular chain or brand.

That being said, any hotel in the LAX area that is run by a major brand will have both a free shuttle and restaurant. I believe this is true for the nicer places in Marina Del Rey as well.

I've never stayed at the Furama on Lincoln and Manchester (looks like a 2.5 star at best) but there are lots of places to eat nearby and it's in a relativly safe part of town.

I have never done it, but if you check over in the bidding by travel board, I have seen people mention getting rooms at three stars like the Westin for $40 or so a night. There is no way you are going to see that on www.westin.com
