Personally, as a suggestion, i know its horses for courses, but as a suggestion, it would be nice if BA offered some sort of goodwill loyalty. For the first time in ten years i missed out on being Gold as i didnt do enough long haul flights. BA, can obviously see ive been a member 10yrs in a row at gold level, but there is no charm service other than heres your silver pack through the door. Now, other programmes such as hotels, will often give you a years grace as goodwill one time only, if you have shown loyalty, while other airline programmes will status match you at the drop of a hat. I havent switched my BA Gold card last year to KLM or Aegean or whoever it maybe, as i have stuck with BA, but is there any long term point, when there is no discerning difference shown from BA to its long term loyal base of customers. Thoughts?
My thoughts are you missed out on Gold, you're angry about BA not giving it to you anyway, and you're expressing your anger on here by criticising them using their skytrax ranking as evidence.
