Click on "advanced routing" and enter UA+ - this will return only UA operated flights. Entering UA gives only direct flights, UA+ includes connections.
Click on See Calendar of Lowest fares, enter the first date you can travel and then enter the number of days you want to be gone.
Find what you want and then go to UA to enter the voucher code and book the flights.

{as for} the useless telephone booking agents, i asked for three different booking dates progressively later and later in 2017 and after the third date i was just on hold in solence with the rep until i asked how the progress of the search/quote, at which point *click*..

*A rule is very clear that you can only have lounge access where you are booked for the international First/Business class. The only exception to this rule is you are a *G.

lounge access alone is worth while for the under $100 upgrade. couple extra inches leg room just icing on the cake.
