Yes, that may be an idea, a possible solution would be to find a return - which need not be in CE, and need not involve Italy either - but does involve LON and meets the Saturday night rule. There was a Vueling / BA codeshared LTN-AMS service which was often very cheap, but that is just a suggestion.
