I would like to minimize my commute time in the last two days of my stay. If I was by myself I would stay at Kriss Residence for $15 a night and that would be ok. However, I will travel with my girlfriend and I want her to be in safe hotel with few amenities to keep her occupied.

It looks like I will have to pick between La Meridien and Best Western.

The more information you give, the more clear the answer becomes. If you are traveling with your gf, choose Le Meridien. It is a resort-style hotel and she will enjoy lounging by the pool and whatnot while you are off at meetings. ^
