I'm very new to the mileage program thing but will be travelling a decent amount this year and want to get started. I'll be flying mostly United domestically, so I wanted a Star Alliance program.

I should be doing the following at a minimum this year
BOS - Dulles
BOS - Dallas
BOS - LAX
plus three more mid range domestic flights from Boston

The obvious choice would to get a United MileagePlus account, but I have 10K miles already on Swiss so I was wondering if it was worth it to just use my Miles and More account for my United flights. A friend told me about Aegeans' Miles+Bonus program - would this work for me?

I have no clue how getting flights with points or upgrades work so any insight is much appreciated!
